Mit einem 2:1 Auswärtssieg gegen die Kicker aus Erwitte konnte unsere 1. Mannschaft den Klassenerhalt entgültig unter Dach und Fach bringen. In einer ausgeglichenen Partie gingen die Erwitter durch ein für unsere Hintermannschaft sehr unglückliches Tor bereits nach fünf Minuten in Führung. Aber unsere Jungs hielten dagegen und Vitali Hildebrand markierte kurz vor dem Halbzeitpfiff mit einem sehenswerten Treffer den 1:1 Ausgleich. Nach der Pause erhöhte unsere Elf den Druck auf die gut mitspielenden Erwitter und folgerichtig fiel in der 68. Minute der 2:1 Führungstreffer durch Alex Hilges. Bei diesem Ergebnis blieb es bis zum Schlusspfiff. Ein erleichteter Vorstand, der entspannte Trainer Udo Lass und eine zufriedene Mannschaft traten den Rückweg nach Störmede an und jeder feierte den Klassenerhalt auf seine eigene Art und Weise. Aber auch der Coach der zweiten Mannschaft, Kurt Marx, hatte Grund sich zu freuen, denn unsere Reserve schlug den Tabellenführer der Kriesliga C auf eigenem Geläuf mit 2:1.
