Nachdem die Spieler des Tennisclubs SC-Lob wegen einer fehlerhaften Hallenplanung erst verspätet ihr Turnier beginnen konnten, mussten die Spielzeiten verkürzt werden. Am besten auf die neuen Bedingungen einstellen konnte sich Heribert Bartscher, der sich mit knappen Vorsprung (gleiche Anzahl Siege, 1 Spiel mehr gewonnen) gegen Norbert Vockel durchsetzen konnte. Ebenso knapp war der Abstand zum Drittplatzierten Heriberto Alvarez. Den Preis für den besten Nachwuchsspieler gewann Giovanni Pintozzi vom Puisterpatt. Nach vielen „Fachgesprächen“ bei frisch gezapftem Bier endete die Veranstaltung erst weit nach Mitternacht.
