Krautbundbinden

Wilde Möhre, Rainfarn, Baldrian und viele andere…

 

Diese und viele andere Kräuter sammelt der Traditionsverein Störmede alljährlich

aus der Feldflur und möchte damit die alte Tradition des Krautbundbindens in

Störmede aufrecht erhalten, die mit dem Fest Maria Himmelfahrt verbunden ist.

Die Krautbunde werden am Freitag, 12. 08. 2022 um 15 Uhr am Heimathaus vor der Remise gebunden.

Die Kräuter werden zur Verfügung gestellt,

Kinder, Omas und Mütter oder Väter zum Mitmachen sind gefragt.

Dieser Brauch wurde früher vor allem von den Mädchen ausgeführt, die im darauffolgenden

Jahr zur Ersten hl. Kommunion gehen oder eben jünger sind. Heutzutage können

selbstverständlich auch Jungs Kräuter tragen. Die Krautbunde werden am

Sonntag, 14. 08. 22 um 10 Uhr im Gottesdienst in der St. Pankratius Kirche in

Störmede geweiht. Die Kirchgänger erhalten ein kleines, symbolisches Krautbund.

Kräuter – vor allem geweihte Kräuter –  spielen in der Heilkunde seit jeher eine

große Rolle, die geweihten Kräuter schützen die Bewohner der Häuser vor

Krankheit.
